A Valentines Day Gift and Shout Out to Readers | Backdoor SurvivalBackdoor Survival has absolutely blossomed these past two years.  Originally started as more of a personal journal than anything else, I quickly learned that not only did I have the need to write, but that there were actually people out their that wanted to listen.  Imagine that.

As a huge thank you for being such a great group of readers, I have put the e-book co-written with my friend George Ure up for free on Amazon for the next few days.  The book, “11 Steps to Living a Strategic Life: A Guide to 2012 and Beyond, was written last summer and represents our version of life-coaching for preppers.  It is a fun little book, with lots of motivation to get you going on your way to living an independent life with an abundance of self-reliance and a dearth of fear.

Since writing 11 Steps, I have been busy with blog articles, my work (which pays the bills around here), product testing, reviews and of course, my own personal prepping.  Try as I might, I have not made the time to compile another e-book although heaven knows, I certainly have enough ideas and a enough material.

My goal, first and foremost however, is to put original, quality articles out on the website and so that is what I do.

George Ure Announces his Newly Revised How to Live on $10,000 a YearA Valentines Day Gift and Shout Out to Readers | Backdoor Survival

Whereas I have been a slacker in the e-book department, George has just released a newly revised version of How to Live on $10,000 a Year – Or Less. In this release, George is cranking things up a huge notch.  No more starving student strategies but instead, common sense tips for living with a modest income if you have to and living below your means if you want to.

Getting past the expectations of Madison avenue and your peers is a lesson well learned and George gets you there with his usual wit and humor.  The book is $9.95 or, if you have signed up for Amazon PrimeA Valentines Day Gift and Shout Out to Readers | Backdoor Survival, it is free under their loaner program.

The Final Word

Backdoor Survival currently has close to 3,500 email subscribers and over 2,200 Facebook fans.  In addition, the website receives 3,500 or more direct site visits a day, with most visitors viewing 2 or more pages each time they visit.

And what do I say to that?  Without readers, Backdoor Survival is nothing. You are my friends and my inspiration.  I relish your comments and your feedback and am thrilled when you are happy. Your support is appreciated more than you will ever know.

Thank you and Happy Valentine’s Day!

11 Steps to Living a Strategic Life: A Guide to 2012 and Beyond: Interested in a guide to surviving the hard times we face now and in the future? Our little book outlines some simple steps you can use to motivate and prepare for self-reliance in an uncertain future.  We make it clear that “prepping” is not extremist and that the preparedness lifestyle is simply common sense put into action.

How to Live on $10,000 a Year – Or Less:  More than checklists, this is a book that walks through the business logic of saying no to fashion and the high consumption lifestyle. Voluntary simplicity begins with understanding how and why consumer spending must be controlled and this book shows you how to do this in each of the seven major areas of life: Food, shelter, communications, transportation, energy, environment, and finance.
