Modern Survival Blog: This is a common sense, results oriented blog with a lot of useful and practical how-to tips (including downloads) for becoming self-sufficient in anticipation of the hard times ahead. One thing I like about this site is that the articles are unique and not just your run-of-the-mill survival and prepper stuff.
Outdoors Native: This site is about everything and anything outdoors, from camping to fishing and backpacking to hunting. There is a lot of good – and well vetted – information here. Be sure to check out the “Tactical” section.
Pioneer Handbooks: Free downloads of how-to, DIY and recipes from the pioneers and settlers of the 1800s.
Prep-Blog: A well-written survival blog for the non-survivalist, the Prep-Blog offers a moderate approach to prepping for everyday types of disasters.
The Home for Survival: This site is run by a father, a son, a brother and a SHTF planning enthusiast. Their mission is to provide the most current, relevant and insightful survival content on the web. In addition, they periodically put up some original and relevant blog articles.
Wise Living Journal: Eminently useful and practical information and answers on how to live wisely in our modern world. This site leans heavily towards self-sufficiency with a bit of homesteading. Excellent!
Survival and Beyond: This site is a synthesis of news, general information and online internet radio show. Featuring Ed Corcoran, the creator and former editor of Survivalist Magazine, the site is fairly new but holds out the promise of lots of good stuff to come. Be sure to catch some of the unique do-it-yourself stuff in the download section.
Off Grid Survival: A resource for people who are interested in survival topics and Off Grid Living.
If It Hits the Fan: Don’t let the site name fool you – no doom and gloom here. Lots of really interesting articles that go beyond the same old stuff. This site is “dedicated to helping families prepare for hard times and thrive during the good times.”
Prepper Central: Prepper Central is a blog about preparedness covering everything from TEOTWAWKI to a financial disaster. The goal of Prepper Central is to provide readers with information that will help them make educated preparedness decisions.
