  1. Maybe I’m just an old Ky backwoods hillbilly, but this give away is getting me excited. Something that I may never need, but it is very high on my “wish list”. For my target practice in my back yard, we shoot at a “disc” from a farming implement. The ammo I shoot will not go through the “disc”. I have thought about having my grand daughter sew me a vest in which I could insert two of these disc. One in the front and one in the back. I would be so much more happy with winning this vest.
    Thanks Gaye.

  2. I think this is a cool give away & I appreciate the review. It does seem like it would be easy to wear and not too bulky

  3. Another one of those “rather have it and hope to never need it” items! If I win this it would probably stay in the closet 99.99% of the time, but that one time out of a thousand I’ll be very glad to have it.
Easy entry and I always vote BDS at top prepper!

  4. IT is something that is on my wish list I hope never to have to use it.
Thank you for the awesome give aways.

  5. I great use for these for those who think they don’t really need body armor, wear it when out target shooting. Just think of all the people around you at the range. Do you really trust all those people to be as careful as you are?

  6. I’m new at prepping. I very happy that you’re showing a variety of items, most of which I never thought I might need. Thank you.

  7. I think its interesting that the deadline to enter is August 7th and the notification date is on or before July 19th.

“The giveaway will end on Thursday, August 7th 6PM PDT and the winner will be notified by email on or before July 19th. Note that the winning entry will be verified and the winner will have 48 hours to respond.”

  8. I’ve looked at plate carriers already. Limited coverage area, center front and back (and side plates, if you choose.)May be slightly more comfortable and less bulky than Kevlar but weigh more. The right Kevlar, with a trauma plate, has more coverage, completely over the shoulders and more coverage on the sides. I found a company in my home state of PA that makes vests for police departments and sells to civilians. Check DELVALARMOR.COM

  9. Been considering a purchase for a while but the only comments I could find were on their own web site. An independent opinion is good.

    • I have been getting emails from Infidel Armor for quite awhile and like the idea of having some around…the prices seemed a lot higher than that, or I wasn’t paying close enough attention, that seems like a really good price?

  10. Given the fact that preppers will tend to be targets if/when the SHTF,this would be a great item to have in the event I would need to defend my home from looters. I always enjoy the articles you share and have taken many to heart in my readiness plans. Thanks, keep em coming!
