All About Backdoor Survival and Gaye

Print Friendly

Although today is Saturday and not my normal posting day, I want to give you a quick heads up to let you know that I have been working on some of the older, outdated stuff on the site.  The first thing I have done is updated the “About” page.  Curious minds want to know, right?

Here is a taste of what I said:

When I first started Backdoor Survival, my goal was two fold. First, I wanted to share my angst and concern about our deteriorating economy and its impact on ordinary, middle-class folks such as myself. And second, I wanted to become a prepper of the highest order and to share what I was learning (and am still learning) along the way.

There is way more so go ahead and check me out at About Backdoor Survival & Gaye.

Enjoy your next adventure through common sense and thoughtful preparation!

Reminder: The Backdoor Survival Summer Blast Giveaway is ongoing for the month of June. There are lots of neat prizes and all you need to do is sign up for my new newsletter and send me a couple of emails. Now how easy is that?

From the Bargain Bin: Curious about some of the top sellers at Amazon? I have to say that the top seller recently is the little itty bitty Nano flashlight that puts our a ton of light. You will be amazed. Second is the Kershaw OSO Sweet Knife and third are the Emergency Blankets. But the big news this month is the Mountain House Sale at Emergency Essentials.

Emergency Essentials/BePrepared

Streamlight Nano Light Keychain LED Flashlight: extremely small and light weight yet it will throw off a decent amount of super-bright light. At just .36 ounces and 1.47 inches long, the Streamlight Nano Light Keychain Flashlight will take up a minimum of space in your pocket or bag.

Kershaw OSO Sweet Knife: This “oh so sweet” knife is solidly built, stainless steel knife that comes razor sharp right out of the package. It will pretty much cut through anything the price is amazing. Currently on sale for an amazing $19.08 (although prices on Amazon do change daily if not hourly.)

Emergency Mylar Thermal Blankets: These come in compressed packets small enough to fit in a pocket or wallet. You will be surprised at how warm these will keep you. About $8 for a pack of 10.
